Please pray for my son MattBowles, who is 21 and just exited a drug recovery program. He needs a job and a place to live. It seems like every door has been closed and no one seems to be able to forgive him of his past. He is a good kid, maturing fast finally, but without forgiveness and mercy, doors could possibly remain closed.
The doors are closed to the military, Job Corp and other normally open options, but I know God is merciful and forgiving and he will prepare Matt's way before him. Something needs to happen soon, because he has no place to live.

I got mixed news today from my cancer doctors in Portland concerning the “Pharmaceutical Drug Trial” I have been participating in since July. I formed another additional new tumor last month, which makes three new tumors in the last six weeks. That makes nine altogether my doctors are tracking & treating at this time.

The good news is the Cancer Center asked me to sign a new contract offered to me by the Canadian pharmaceutical company that has been sponsoring this current trial. It will continues one more year of trial drugs and adds two additional years of follow up support with their research doctors & my local oncologist for oversight & interpretations on MRI - CT - PET scans & Ultrasounds. There are still quarterly benchmarks I need to meet and my blood workup needs to be consistent with nothing “conflicting” with their course of treatment. This means no over the counter drugs without first getting approval and positively nothing that may affect my natural immune system.

I signed the new contract but still haven’t got my head around the new tumor info yet. That kind of news is never good news. Prayers as always are the answer to that and are so, so much appreciated. I have been cleared to take the trial drugs with me anywhere within the good old USA but must physically be in Portland for the research team to run test, draw blood & examine me every two weeks.

Truth is, that is a small price to pay. I need to focus on the fact that this drug trial with the “magic fairy dust” has been used by God to give me life for at least an additional seven months so far. Since the FDA approved treatments for melanoma were not effective, I do feel comfort that through the non-FDA treatment of this cancer I am helping the global effort gather good data to add to the ongoing research to find a cure for melanoma. Sounds pretty noble doesn’t it… but in the end, I get to live a little longer.

Cowboy (Paul) and Trish Huffman need your prayers to fix a leaky roof on their mobile home. They currently have mold damage on the inside of two of their walls.
They have a quadraplegic son who resides in their home and mold is especially dangerous for him.

Is it just me or can we not put any times on the calenders before 9:00 a.m. or after 5:00 p.m.?
