Homework House Poker Run is to benefit children of Azusa from 1st grade thru high school. Kids go to these homework houses after school to use computers and get free tutoring. These kids otherwise would not have a chance to excel in education. Houses are in gang infested areas where some parents have no value of education and others lack skills to help their children succeed. Money is for survival, not for computers or school supplies. Many graduates of Homework House continue to attend collage, aspiring to be doctors, lawyers, study business and become professionals. Helping students achieve their goals, over two hundred students from Azusa Pacific University (Christian University) volunteer at the facilities, providing 27,000 volunteer hours a year. This Poker Run will help keep these houses open for at least another year. Lets get behind these kids and help them out.
